Gallanough
Campus: Northwood really lucked out when it discovered this beautiful campus in the Gallanough Resource Centre nestled in the middle of a well-maintained park in historic old Thornhill. Halfway between Highway 7 and Steeles near Yonge street, the library is conveniently situated close to Thornhill Public School for parents who wish to do double programming at Northwood and at the Public Kindergarten. There is ample parking and a well-equipped public playground at the site. |

Northwood has two large, bright rooms, an office, kitchen, a large foyer and two washrooms in the lower level of the library plus the use of a loft for Music, Playball, and Drama classes and our Parent and Tot program. We make good use of the library for story time and borrowing books for the children. Heather Spear, the Director of Northwood is on the board of Directors for the Gallanough Resource Centre. The school and the library try to coordinate events to share resources and provide fun activities for the neighbourhood. We use the nearby Holy Trinity Church Hall for Playball Sport Classes and large events such as our Mother’s Day Concerts and Graduation. | ||||||||||||||||||||
